Primary Colours Music’s latest two-part release, Antipodean Dubs, is a dynamic celebration of Australian dub techno talent .Volume A kicks on with Melbourne’s own Astralure, whose track “Freq” delivers an infectious groove with its robust kicks, bassline, and skillfully delayed stabs. Following up is another Melbourne-based art i st , Mike Nolan, whose “Steady”crafts a mesmerizing journey with its dub-infused, low-slung beats, dreamy pads, and sweeping textures. The release continues with Silver Ash, a Primary Colours staple from the coast , returning with “Blackwood”, a t rack that capt i vates with its evolving grooves, int r i cate e ects, and relentless bass programming. Closing out Part A is Noosa Sound System, hailing f rom the p icturesque town of Noosa, with “Ah Go Build”, a true dub stomper featuring drugged-out grooves, deep drone stabs, and hypnot i c vocals layered over massive drums.
